Rubber profiles
profilati in gomma

Rubber profiles are produced by special extruders that force crude rubber through specially-created dies that reproduce exactly the profiles indicated in customer drawings. This phase is followed by a  continuous vulcanisation procedure where the profile passes through molten salt, microwaves or an autoclave.

Standard and fire-proof profiles

AGED is able to produce profiles in all the most important types of rubber, such as:

• EPDM
• Viton (FKM)
• oil-proof rubber (NBR)
• natural rubber (Parà)
• thermoplastic rubber

Profiles can be produced in compact rubber with hardnesses from 20 to 95 Sh, and in foam rubber (closed cell sponge rubber) in black or other colours. Another possibility is co-extruded profiles  produced by combining rubbers of different types in the same profile, for example, combining compact rubber with foam rubber, rubber of different colours, hardnesses, and so on.

Profiles can be provided in fire-resistant EPDM, fire-resistant neoprene and fire-resistant silicon, with fire and smoke certifications provided for all rail and tramway supplies.

Profiles can be supplied with continuous adhesive strips
or with heat-activatable adhesive tape for subsequent bonding by hot or cold vulcanisation, or gluing. Large diameter seals and frames are also supplied.
