Semi-workings Plastic Materials
semilavorati

AGED supplies a vast range of semi-worked articles (rods, sheets, sleeves, tubes) in all the plastic materials available today, of standard types and with additives.

Techno plastic materials (technopolymers)

These are suitable for producing technical articles that can be used in a wide variety of applications in the most diverse industrial sectors. They are resistant to temperatures between 100° C and 150° C and have excellent mechanical properties, elevated dimensional stability and good chemical and wear resistance. They can replace metals in many applications. The range includes:

• Nylon (polyamide 6, 66, 6G)
• POM (Delrin, acetal resin)
• PET (Arnite)
• PTFE (Teflon)

Advanced plastic materials

These can be worked at temperatures over 150° and can be produced using special additives that further increase their properties: fibreglass and carbon fibre that increase heat distortion resistance; PTFE, graphite and aramid fibre that improves sliding friction properties; metal and black carbon fibres improve electrical conductivity. These materials include:

• Polyethersulfone (PES)
• Polysulfone (PSU)
• Polyimides: polyetherimide (PEI), polyamide-imide (PAI)
• Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)
• Phenolic Polystyrene (PPS)
• Fluoropolymers (PTFE, FEP, PVDF).

Standard Plastic Materials

These materials can be worked below 100°:

• PVC
• Polyethylene
• Polypropylene (Moplen)
• PMMA (plexiglass)
• PC (polycarbonate, Lexan).
